Dr. Amy J. Dover (DDS, Certificate in Orthodontics, Master's Degree), Orthodontist

Originally from Virginia Beach, Virginia. Valedictorian of First Colonial High School. Graduated Summa Cum Laude in three years with major in Biology and minor in Chemistry from UNC Chapel Hill (1997). Earned dental degree with distinction and numerous awards for academic, leadership, and research accomplishments. Published research on surgical orthodontic treatment in The Angle Orthodontist (2007) in collaboration with Dr. William J. Proffit. Professional memberships include American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists, North Carolina Association of Orthodontists, and UNC Orthodontic Alumni Association (Past President and Executive Board Member). Married to Stan, lives in Belmont with three sons. Volunteers with church and Gaston County Meals on Wheels.

Gwen, Front Office Administrator

Has worked with Dr. Dover since the practice opened in 2006. Married with two grown children. Enjoys hiking, music, traveling, and cheering on the Clemson Tigers.

Tammy, Orthodontic Assistant

Orthodontic assistant with over 25 years of orthodontic experience. Has worked with Dr. Dover since 2013 when she relocated to the Charlotte area. Married with two grown children and three granddaughters. Enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Megan, Orthodontic Assistant

Graduated from Rowan Cabarrus Community College in dental assisting. Has been an orthodontic assistant for 13 years and joined Dover Orthodontics in 2019. Has a son named Brixton, age two. Enjoys going to the beach with family.
