Received initial dental degree from Lviv Medical University, Ukraine in 1981 and taught at Lviv Medical University School of Stomatology for 15 years. Earned American Association of Endodontists Student Achievement Award while at University of Pittsburgh. Practiced as an endodontist in Northeastern Pennsylvania for 9 years before relocating to Charlotte.
